Layer Assets / VRC Templates
Exporting an AnimatorControllerLayer as an Asset
Save a single AnimatorController layer as a standalone .asset file and restore it into another controller. Handy when you want to reuse a toggle layer on another avatar.
- Save: Right-click a layer in the Animator window →
Export Layer As Asset. The state machine, transitions, and Behaviours are duplicated in full, and the names, types, and default values of the referenced parameters are saved along with them - Restore: Right-click a layer →
Import Layer From Asset. Parameters missing from the destination can be reviewed as a list in a confirmation dialog before being added- For older assets without type information, the type is inferred from how each parameter is used
- Existing parameters with the same name but a different type are left untouched (skipped and reported in the Console)
- From the bottom of the AnimatorLayerAsset Inspector, you can also open / save it as AnimatorDSL via the 「開く / 保存」 (Open / Save) buttons
